a wonderful time and enjoyed the climbing and the company
tremendously. Ian was an ideal  teacher,
whose calm and patient manner was an antidote to nerves, and who took the
time to answer dozens of questions which he must have heard countless
times before. I felt by the end of the course that I had made a lot of
progress and learnt many of the basic techniques. Mandy was always warm
and hospitable and produced fantastic meals. The mountain scenery is

"Firstly, thank you again for the splendid hospitality you provided
to us on our recent stay with you. I don't think Thomas and I have eaten
(or drunk) so well in quite some time, all facilities were first class.
Also, thanks to you Ian for your patience with us both (especially Thomas) over the two days. Both of us felt that we left Snowdonia considerably better informed about mountain hiking in general and navigation in particular. We spent the whole journey back planning a trip to Scotland in the next couple of months. Attached are a selection of photo's.
