2nd Half IronMan Triathlon 2002 |
| The 2nd half ironman triathlon took place on Sunday 8th September. 1,200 competitors entered the Padarn lake water for a 7am start. Watched by Iron spectators who had braved the pouring rain and the pre dawn start. The 1.9 km swim was followed by a 90km bike ride around Snowdon and the Glyderau, and a 21.1Km run up and down the Llanberis pass. The men's race was won by Welshman Richard Jones in a time of 4hrs 4 mins, Whilst the first women home was Annie Emmerson in 4hrs 23mins | |
